Signaling switch in pancreatic β-cells determines anti-diabetic drug effectiveness

(Kobe University) An international research group headed by Professor SEINO Susumu (Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine) has clarified the action mechanism of widely utilized incretin-based drugs in the treatment of diabetes. These findings are important for illuminating the mechanism behind diabetes and will hopefully provide a basis for new treatments.
